Thirty years of technological innovation culminates on the crowning achievement of Air Max Day 2017: the Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit. Tinker Hatfield introduced the concept of a visual air unit on the Air Max 1 in 1987. The Air VaporMax revolutionizes that idea by incorporating a full-length 360 air unit were talking completely visible cushioning, a grand advancement for performance running shoes. For a third time, we see Nike drop a murdered-out Triple Black version of the VaporMax. The first was the COMME desGarcons collab. The second was created by NikeLab. And finally, we have this pair, constructed with a lightweight Flyknit upper and accentuated by Anthracite and dark grey speckling throughout. The difference here is the sole unit, which has more of a smoky look than a traditionally Triple Black one.
